After nearly 7 years of cumulative research experience, I've accumulated a wealth of technical and professional skills. However, my greatest strength lies ability to connect with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. I actively hone this skill by applying my broad knowledge base to communicate across teams, building powerful working relationships with diverse groups.
Both my personal and professional experiences highlighted the transformative power of conversations. Meaningful dialogue is essential for understanding the needs and goals of clients, users, and internal teams. My versatile technical abilities, from analysis to design, have always been utilized in service of these conversations - to measure, understand, and drive impact.
During my time as a Master's student at UNC-Chapel Hill's School of Information and Library Science, I gained expertise in database architecture, data analytics/front-end programming, user research, systems analysis, and graphic design. However, I chose to capstone my learning with a qualitative research study, exploring user perceptions and preferences through direct conversation, underscoring my belief in the importance of user-centered dialogue.
In my professional career, I facilitate and organize presentations for my center aimed at promoting workforce inclusion and professional development. I've assisted in the documentation of training materials, proposal writing, systems level design, managing and reporting out insights from analytic files for a large client, and designing workflow processes for cross-workstream facilitation. These tools serve the function of improving conversations we have with each other in the present and in the future as we look back on our previous work.
As an analyst, my goal is to leverage data to tell compelling stories, providing clients with the tools they need to communicate insights clearly and effectively. Moving forward, I aim to continue leveraging these strengths to improve the inclusivity of technological applications and design systems that grant users better access to their information.
